Strip miner 1's do not use crystals. Only the modulated t2 version.

You only need mining 5 to operate them. The problem comes from the crystal you need to fit to make them worth while. for eg. if you want to fit a veldspar crystal you will need science4, refining5, refine efficency2, metallurgy1 and veld processin...

Cheers again. i am new to a vamp set up, so all this is a bit new to me. Seems to be a viable way to fight. I can see why the vamp dome is such a good ship.

If i take of the Resist plates and put on pg boosters i can fit 4x named vamps and a named neutraliser(all med). That should suck the cap out quick for a cruiser. I hope, :)
